Saved the alternator case but it still broke itself upon crashing, and the alternator case got scratched. Didn't survive a 60 kmh crash unfortunately... All things considered, it could have been worse, and a much more expensive repair! GBRacing response: Sorry to hear of your crash. We hope you are ok and didn't suffer any damage yourself? Our product is designed to be a sacrificial part so that if during a slide it gets caught on a pot hole, cat's eye, kerb or such things that can cause extensive damage, it takes that energy away by sometimes breaking away, thus relieving the bike from the stress and hopefully reducing the probability of your bike flipping over which would cause greater amounts of damage to other sections of your bike.
